Who's behind this

Kuch To Bolo started with a Facebook post, not a business plan.

PP

Prashanth Palakurthi

Founder

Kuch To Bolo was Prashanth's idea. After the Acton tragedy, he posted on Facebook asking whether the community's fear of judgment — "log kya kahenge" — was getting in the way of families asking for help. The conversation that followed became the reason this site exists.

Prashanth is the founder and former CEO of Reflexis Systems, a Massachusetts-based retail technology company he built from 2001 until its acquisition, and currently serves as a Senior Advisor at Sageview Capital and a board member at Impact Analytics. He was named one of the 50 Outstanding Asian Americans in Business by the Asian American Business Development Center in 2014. Based in Weston, Massachusetts, he and his wife Anuradha are also active in community philanthropy, including establishing an AI research center at their alma mater, BITS Pilani.

Dr. Shivkumar H. Jha, MD

Co-Founder

Dr. Jha is a dual board-certified psychiatrist in Psychiatry and Geriatric Psychiatry, with more than 30 years of clinical experience, fellowship training through Harvard Medical School, and post-doctoral research at Boston University. He has spent his career sitting across from families navigating exactly the silence this site is trying to break.

When Prashanth's post sparked a community-wide conversation, Dr. Jha joined to help turn it into something people could actually use — bringing the clinical grounding behind the resources, language, and guidance on this site.

The rest of the team is still forming

Kuch To Bolo is being built with high school and college interns handling outreach, content, translation, and moderation — not crisis response. If that's you, there's a place here.
